Developed by NTN Architecture and Urbanism firm, Natural City is a schematic design phase project with innovative and sustainable concepts of the organization of urban areas of Barra Velha and Balneário Camboriú in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The Master plan is divided in two phases that aim to create potential spaces and creative density, in a way that the natural elements are integrated to architecture and urban planning. In this holistic view, green and blue corridors are strategically placed in a tridimensional grid of different building typologies and diverse urban morphology, creating a self-sufficient “living city” that produces food and energy. As part of the NTN team, I contribute to the creation and development of new programs for the city such as gastronomic center, commercial nodes, sports world, aquarium, fashion district, industrial and scientific center, which reinforce the integration between housing, leisure and work, as well as education, innovation and research. The structure of public spaces have covered multi-use galleries, “living streets” with urban agriculture and independent pedestrian and bicycle paths that connect squares of different scales. I also contributed in graphic expressions and design representations of this project. Additionally, I helped develop slide presentations for lectures in which the Architect Nelson Teixeira Netto (Master of Royal College of Arts) usually performs in various universities and for the Architecture and Urban Planning Council, as well as for meetings with national and international clients and entrepreneurs.
